Born:  c.1932, Tuwiru, west of Kintore, Northern Territory (dec. 2002)

Domicile:  Walungurru, (Kintore) and Yamunturrngu, (Mt. Leibig) Northern Territory

Benny Tjapaltjarri was born at Tuwiru and worked as a stockman and general labourer on a number of community construction projects.  He began painting during the 1970s for the Papunya Tula Artists Company and participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout Australia.
