Australian Andrew Wellman is an autobiographical artist who is inspired by objects of beauty and excited by the masters such as Magritte, Matisse, Warhol and Picasso. A reoccurring theme of Wellman’s work is his reverence of Buddha. He work unfolds in a variety of mediums; acrylics, oils and charcoal on canvas, paper, tin, mirror and acrylic. Wellman began exhibiting in 1999 and has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Australia, Indonesia, Scandinavia, Japan and Singapore.
