Billy Stockman Tjapaltjarri is one of the original painters and founders of the Western Desert Art movement and later, the Papunya Tula Artists Company.  Throughout his career Billy's works have been widely exhibited and collected.  Billy Stockman Tjapaltjarri was one of the artists chosen to 'internationally launch' Aboriginal Art at the Asia Society Galleries, New York, in 1988.
